“As a first time Mum in a small regional town I had no idea what breast feeding my daughter should feel like, I just knew the excruciating pain I was feeling wasn’t normal. After feeling like I wasn’t being listened to by medical professionals, I was ready to give up. That was until a friend recommended Caroline at MummaBe.

We met with Caroline and she suspected my daughter had a tongue tie. Caroline referred us to a Paediatric Dentist who confirmed and corrected this.  Fast forward to today and I am now feeding my daughter pain free.

Caroline is friendly, knowledgeable and an expert in everything it takes to be the best Mumma you can be. My only wish is that someone had told me about Caroline sooner.”

“Caz gave me the confidence to keep going when I thought it was all too much, and then helped me to wean my baby at two years of age. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe I could breastfeed for two years when she arrived on day 4. ”

“First & foremost Caz is an absolute gem! I will be forever grateful for her care, expert advice and reassurance after the birth of my daughters.  Caz assisted me in  establishing effective breastfeeding techniques and also gave me the confidence to exclusively breastfeed. Her compassion, personable approach & level of professionalism are admirable. Caz' knowledge of breastfeeding and child development from newborn upwards is incredible. She provides such a valuable service to the community. She is the epitome of Lactation Consultants! I would highly recommend Caz to all parents! .”

I cannot speak more highly of Caz, she is an amazing and talented early childhood nurse (and mum of 4). Helping me with my first born Ted, when I was clueless on a farm far from town. Then she picked up a tongue tie in Hughie at week 2, booked me in with a specialist in Sydney the next day. She sent me straight to our base hospital week 3 when he was sick, and we spent a week in hospital. Caz is warm, non-judgemental and no-nonsense… New mums get in touch!

I was so lucky to have Caz arrive at my house a day after I arrived home with my first baby. A traumatic Labour and a traumatic start to Henry’s life and Caz was there. To tell me it was OK, we survived and to guide me through the very first steps of motherhood as I had NO IDEA. I highly recommend seeking out this brilliant midwife when you have a baby but especially when you need some help. One size does not fit all and Caz has a knack for knowing what you need.

“My first pregnancy/birth was far from what I expected to say the least. Our son was born in Sydney, 6weeks premature and weighing 1.59kg. We weren’t able to bring Cooper home from hospital until the week he was due to be born. Driving 5hrs and 27mins away from Sydney with a baby weighing 1.8kg should have been scary - and it likely would have been I’m sure if it weren’t for Caroline Maxwell.
Caroline was our midwife and worked in partnership with my Sydney obstetrician throughout my pregnancy. Caroline was our child and family health nurse who has amazing clinical skills, professionalism and intuition. Caroline was my breast feeding consultant who has a wealth of knowledge and was able to help me get started and continue breastfeeding, so well that our Sydney paediatrician could not believe how well Cooper was gaining weight at his 12week check up. I had so many questions and Caroline had all the answers for me. She had answers to questions I hadn’t even asked. Not just about breast feeding either, I had questions about juggling motherhood, subsequent children, how to excel instead of just survive.
Living 5hours and 27 mins from Sydney does not mean we forego services, Caroline Maxwell is an absolute gift to all mothers. My 3 children and my sanity are all thanks to her.

“ From the moment I laid my eyes on my daughter I noticed her tongue as it was heart shaped and I knew that something wasn’t quite right. I spoke to many different health professionals however they weren’t concerned as Millie on paper was doing ok. I continued to do my own research and came across Caroline. It was the best decision I have made for our daughter and I. Not only did she confirm my suspicions of a tongue tie, she referred us to a paediatric dentist who could diagnose and correct it. Caroline restored my confidence in me as a mum and encouraged me to follow my gut feeling. Caroline is so warm, kind and friendly and someone you can confide in with out feeling judged. I wish I had found Caroline sooner!”

-Imogen, Mumma to Millie, Nyngan NSW.

““I’m so pleased I enquired and got Caz to come out for an initial consult. I was tagged in one of her instagram posts about a tongue tie, which our little 3 week old had been diagnosed with at about 1 week old. All the signs/ symptoms she wrote about sounded like our son. Caz was able to come to our home within a few days of my enquiry and was excellent. Not only did she look at our sons tongue tie and provide some great strategies and advice about that, but also provided some wonderful advice/ strategies around settling, general breastfeeding, and any other questions I was uncertain about. Caz was practical, easy going, very knowledgeable and made me feel more confident and reassured! Plus my nipples improved and our son more settled within days of her visit! Thank you so much.”
